The 2nd International Roundtable Meeting: "Towards the Century of Cities"International Symposium 'Post Disaster Communities and Arts Management' + exhibition

On 1 and 2 December 2011 the Osaka City University Urban Research Plaza and Osaka International House Foundation will jointly organize the international symposium 'Post Disaster Communities and Arts Management'.

Asian countries are often severely affected by disasters such as earthquakes, tsunami, volcanic activity, social conflicts and terrorism. The symposium will focus on the role of art in techniques and skills to recover after a disaster. Why arts, how to manage the process, and how can we share the knowledge gained by local communities?

*It is NOT required to send application, if you join ONLY the exhibition of Unotori-Kagura (Session 4)

Exhibition: Simultaneously with the symposium there will be an exhibition (no registration required) on Unotori-Kagura. Unotori-Kagura is a folkloric performing art from Iwate prefecture.
