OCU ranked 7^th in Japan in a survey by Nikkei HR magazine in which they asked human resource managers which university has the best overall image.

The survey was carried out among all 3624 listed companies in Japan, of which the human resource managers of 591 companies participated in the survey, answering questions about newly hired graduates. The survey covered students who graduated between April 2014 and March 2016.

Students were assessed on pro-activeness, interpersonal skills, intellectual skills and creativity. OCU ranked 3^rd nationwide in interpersonal skills (high communication skills, strong against stress, flexible and adaptable). Its overall score reached number 7 in Japan and number 1 in West-Japan.
